Can you guess what are we eating?

Can you guess what are we eating?

Stroll down and see.......

(you can still see the iice on the durian)

It's durian....Honestly speaking,it smells alright but the taste is not really there as compare to our local mao shan. But again, what do you expect in a foreign land like this. Mummy and daddy have been tempted a few times to buy it and one fine day they finally bought it ($10 for 3boxes same in sin) just to try out how it taste like. The durian is frozen in order to keep it fresh throughout the whole journey from Thailand to Australia, when we waited for it to defroze the flesh actually turns "nuah" (mushy). Verdict, if you really want to eat durian please wait till you go back to Singapore or Malaysia to enjoy the best durian.

*we didnt had durian for christmas, it was taken quite sometime ago already.

Hair Cut

My personal hair stylist.Do I look clean and neat now? Actually I find it abit too short, but what to do, if you want to save $20 this is the outcome plus you must help to clean up the area later.

I luv singing

Another old video of me, actually I can sing better in real person when mummy is not recording me.Maybe I am camera shy boy, whenever they try to capture a video of me I will either stop singing or will act silly.

Beyond- AMani

SOme old video...Sorry i have record it the other way round.

The little Prince is Sick

Sean missed his swimming session with caleb today, because he is not feeling well. He is running on a temperature of 40'c yesterday when the chidcare centre called. His temperature is up and down now since yesterday, hopefully he can recover by tomorrow, because both Jerry and me have to work on Monday.

One thing that i do notice about my own son is he has grown up alot. What I mean by grown up is, he actually can wakes up half way during his sleep to tell me he wants to go and pee. And he did that few times, even though he is with his nappy on.I must say it is abit troublesome for us, because we both are lazy to bring him to the toilet, but we still push ourselves up to bring him there in order to encourage him to go diaperless soon.

We did not let him wear nappy anymore in childcare, but he did wet his pants few times in school. Hopefully my plan of him going diaperless can realise before we went back to Singapore next year.

Jingle Bells

Sean is singing Jingle Bells last night, i think the school must have taught him to sing in preparation of his class concert (mini christmas celebration) on the 14/12/07. He is so cute. Looking forward to see him performing on that day, wonder will he sing and dance on that day or not?

Sean is Singing

Sean has been singing alot lately. Songs that he knows how to sing :

1)Baa baa Black sheep
2)The Fingers Song
3)ABC
4)Wheels on the Bus
4)2 little monkeys
5)London bridge
6)Big Red Car -Wiggles
7) Hot Potatos
8)Happy Birthday
9)Duck SOng - not sure what's the name of the song, is a new song which he just started singing lately, so i still cant quite figure out what he is singing yet.

Of course some of the words are still unclear, but as parents we are already very proud of his development. He will not sing if you ask him to, most of the time is a in prompt too thing. So it's quite difficult for us to record it down to share with all of you.

My Waipo

My Waipo is a nice person, she doted on me alot, so whenever i want something i know who i should look for. Good to bully, haha!!!She is here to look after me despite me giving her all the nonsence and play with me.She cooks for me and wash my clothes. Every nite she will reads to me before i sleep, because Mummy is getting lazy these days. Thanks Waipo and I luv you.

Christmas Parade in the City

Yes, It's the Christmas Season and there is a Christmas Parade in the city.I went with wai po and mummy to the city to see the Christmas float and i have lots of fun seeing all the bands marching, playing christmas song and colorful decorated floats. And best of all, Santa Claus, arriving on sleigh pulled by a school of cute little reindeers. I told mummy, if i can get to talk to Santa, i will tell him that I want a purple car for Christmas present. Mummy's reply ???? why purple car????

Future Singapore Fandi Ahmad??or Beckham wanna be???

Another plan of ours to tired him out. Hahaha!!!!

Bob The Builder Concert

Bob The Builder,can...fix ti.Bob The Builder, yes.... can!! This is how I sing the Bob The Builder Song.

* the ..... means, mummy cant really hear or understand what I sing*

I went to the "Bob The Builder Concert" with Caleb and his mummy last Saturday.I started my day feeling very grumpy, eventhough i am actually still very excited about the concert the night before. Cann't get to sleep well because I am coughing badly and is still moaning over the lost of my poor dummy.

Since I woke up early, mummy decided that we get ourselves change and leave house early, as we need to "chop" a good seats.Eventhough i manage to catch some sleep in the car, but I am still feeling very grumpy even when the show starts.

I believe you will not feel good too, after taking 4jabs within a month, which means 4 different type of vaccine running inside my body, wonder what they are doing inside making me feeling sick, at the same time I have to deal with my cough and worst part getting over the lost of my best companion "The Dummy". I will always remember you & May you rest in Peace.

Back to the concert, alot of kids are dancing at the floor, which after awhile Caleb "chiuo" me to dance. This is when my active self comes back to life. We (me & Caleb) decided to show of our typical Singapore "beng" dance moves to impress those chicks standing next to us.

Sean's development at almost 30months

Sean is officially off "dummy"-pacifier. Hopefully *fingers crossed*. He did not have it to sleep with for 2 weeks already. Of course he didnt sleep as well as compare with times where he had his dummy. We managed to convince him not to have dummy because we show him a snail, 2 weeks back and told him that the naughty snail took his dummy away. He buys our story and every now and then he still complains that the snail is naughty. Hopefully he will get over it soon.

Speech developments, improves alot, but this really depends on his mood whether he wants to talk or not. He is more shy with stranger so he tends to mumble or talk lessor when outsiders are around. If not when he is at home, he can talk real clear and loud.He now enjoys singing, we caught him singing a few times and doing the actions while he sang as well.Songs like "twinkle twinkle little stars", "Baa Baa black sheeps", and his favourite song " Wheels on the Bus Goes Round & Round" It's really cute when you see him singing and doing the actions together. Although, his pronounciation is not as clear yet when he sings but you can more or less catch and understand what he is singing. I think he learn all these from the school. But again, this really must depend on his mood.

Height, grown taller i think. I have never measure him before, but he does look taller to me. But weight wise...Sigh....getting skinnier each day.He eats very little nowadays on proper meal, we seldom let him snack so that he can eat more, but it doesn't work. Current favourite "proper food" is mince pork and potatoe porridge. He will only finish all the pork and potatoe and the porridge water and leave the rice behind.Sometimes he does not even eat it. So i count myself lucky when he actually does, eventhough is abit. Still go mad with all the junk food, especially biscuits, but he is too heaty lately, as he doesn't drink water so we cut down alot on biscuit which makes him even skinnier. I am still wondering is it because of the 4 jabs that he took within this month that causes him to fall sick and lose appetite. Anyway I plan to fatten him in the month of December, after all the jabs have clear in his body. So that he can be chubby boy when he goes back to Singapore next year. Hopefully it works.

Other than that he is still a very active boy who luvs, outdoor activities, he enjoys playing with balls, running around chasing after them, swimming and we hope to introduce more sports activity for him,(to tire him, haha) with Jerry planning to buy a basket ball net.

Barbeque At Home

Because, we luv barbeque so much, Daddy bought a charcoal bbq pit today and guess what we have another round of bbq at our small tiny balcony. He prefers the traditional way of doing bbq. Or maybe he is like, mummy missing the good old days of bbq with mummys'friends.

Bbq is never call a bbq if it is without chix wing, we bought 2kg of chix wing, 1 kg prawn, sausages and because we don't have satay here, we bought chix & beef skewer.Honestly speaking the $1.50 /stick chix and beef skewer is uncomparable with our 0.30cents satay.Look at the food we have, we cant even finish them all.

Summer time is Almost here....

Summer is almost here, we can finally wear our bikini, go for a swim showing off our sexy body.I luv swimming, so Daddy and Mummy decided to bring me out for a swim together with Caleb and his family. Daddy is trying to teach me how to swim.I kick and peddler hard and even blow bubbles in the water. There is a slide at the baby pool which i like the most.I have lots of fun there and even refuse to go home. Hope that I can get to go there again.

*Mummy is waiting for me to slide down and she will catch hold of me, so that i wont sink into the water.

*Ok Daddy is your turn to slide down, quick don't be afraid, I will catch hold of you from here also

BBQ-Mummy's posting

Yes, we are having our first BBQ here in Melbourne. I always like to have BBQ and misses the bbq time that i had with "my sisters" back in Singapore. I finally get to have 1 here eventhough is not charcoal bbq but the food still taste delicious. Thanks to Felix (the big chef) and Anne.

The weather was good last Sunday. The food is nice, Felix and Anne prepares the BBQ food(meat/chix wing/prawns/lamb chop etc)while we prepare the cook food (fried bee hoon/spaggeti.Not we lah, only my mum and Jerry. Anyway we all have a great evening with the yummy food, nice weather and friendly host.

The food are all so nice until i forget to take more photos. The kids are also enjoying themselves.

Tulip Farm

After many weeks of travelling up and down searching for houses, we decided to give ourselves a break last weekend. We went to visit the Tulip Farm. It is situated on the eastern side of Melbourne about an hour drives from our place.

Actually we even wanted to go and see the Berries and Cherries farm there, where you can see strawberries, blueberries, cherries, rasberries and all other berries growing from the trees/plants which is near to this Tulip Farm, but they are only open in December so we just got to wait for next trip.

Anyway back to the Tulip Farm. I must say that the flowers are very beautiful all in different types of colors, lining up in rows across the field. Some colors you have not even seen it in the market too. The staff there will all dress up in Dutch costume to create the feeling of being in Holland i guess. But too bad, me forgotten to charge my camera battery so didnt manage to capture the beautiful pictures of those flowers.

Sean was having fun too running around, learning few new stuff there.

Anyway the link below can describe more than i can write in a thousand words

Street Busker

Some continuation from the posting of our Dream House......because mummy says that we need to buy a new house, it means we need to have lots of money. So, Daddy and I are trying very hard to learn and master some acrobatic skills so that we can busk on the street or maybe in the circus. See how hard we have been training. We shall call this stunt "super boy".

Our Dream House

We are very busy lately, almost every weekend we got to travel here and there just to find a piece of land to build our house. Jerry intends to buy a house here because he thinks that paying rental is kind of "rugi" and the house is not yours somemore. But because of our restricted budget we couldn't afford houses that is near to the city and we also donn't like these houses because it is kind of old and not newly build since it is in a developed surburb which means the house is being build long time ago (just like resale flat)

We finally found something we kind of like and yet affordable but we gotta travel abit way out probably around 24km to city, the distance is like from Pasir to Kampong Bahru so we think is still alright, and its pretty normal for the local here so we guess we just got to get used to it. That suburb is call Tarneit, west side of Melbourne. We wanted Point Cook initially but the land there is selling too fast and the price just sky rocketed high in seconds so we reckon that we couldn't afford it anymore. So the next surburb will be Tarneit. We wanted to build our own house.

So here is our new house Ta Da....How i wish too....unfortunetely this is just the display home by the builder which is going to build our house. Yes we plan to build an exact same house but not as nice as in the picture because we do not have so much money to buy all the nice and expensive furniture yet. Still looking for sponsorship.Haha. If everything goes through smoothly we should be moving into this new home in October next year.

P/s : From the picture above i think you already can see and sense that both Jerry and Sean feel so at home liao. One watching TV in the theater room and another pictures in the kitchen washing their hands i think as if it is their own house already.

Mooncake festival

Is the Mid Autumn Festival. But we don't have any laterns here, there is but only those very plain and normal kind of paper latern not like in Singapore they have some many different kind of beautiful, colorful laterns. Nevertheless we still have mooncakes here so not too bad, but again is uncomparable with what we used to have in Singapore.

We didnt have any celebration, anyway in Singapore we didnt really celebrate as well, but we bought some mooncakes (the snow skin ones) because I personally prefer snow skin than the normal baked ones. Sean likes to eat the baked one instead because he finds the snowskin mooncake soft and mushy. So leh we donn't need to fight.

We even have steamboat for dinner. My mum is here to join us and she will gets lots of mischives from then on.

Visiting Farm

I have been very busy lately because i have started working with a Construction Company doing accounts, so really cann't find time to post Sean's daily activities in his blog. ANd because i am full of guitly feeling right now so i thought in order not to dissapoint those who luv sean alot i shall better post something out.
Actually we spent most of the weekend with the Choo's family. They are very nice people, we always eat out together and at times at their place. They can cook very well especially Felix. If not we will try to organize activities where both our small kids can play. Sean and Caleb is getting along well. They like to play with each other, chasing each other and when 1 does some silly actions the other one will follow(just like monkey see and monkey do).
One of the weekends we actually went to a farm near our place. Yes... is a farm in the city not too bad right, at least donn't have to drive until so far away to see farm animals. Below are some photos taken at the farm visit. Despite the cold weather, the kids still enjoyed themselves alot chasing after the animals. We also had a very expensive breakfast there, maybe because the food there are organic eg organic poached egg, their own grown mushroom thats why is expensive. But overall everything is quite alright.
We are even planning to go for farmstay somewhere this month or next month, just a short trip for the kids since my mum is here as well then she can tag along.

Updates

Just want to pen down a couple of incidents for the month before I forgets about it. I know I have not been updating Sean's blog recently that is because I really do not have the time to do so. ANyway just a short ones here.

1)Pushing of other kids (July)
So far I have been told twice by the school that Sean's is pushing his friends in class. Actually is only 1 victim (a girl) and he even bites her (the same girl) on a separate day. I am not sure what exactly happens or did the girl actually aggitates thus leads to Seans' behavior and action. But the first thing that comes to my mind is why is it the same girl? But I do notice he likes to push other kids, maybe he is trying to play with them but just that he cann't control his actions and thinking that pushing is part of playing. I really don' t know, so now what we do was we constantly reminds him that his action is wrong and may cause harm to another kids. So far as at 15/08/07 i think he improves because no more complaints from the school and according to his class teacher, he is doing quite well lately.

2) Fell down from bicycle.
He got a cut on his lower lip on the right side while playing with a bicycle in school. Nothing very serious. so no need to worry about it. The thing that impressed me was he can even tell me himself that "Sean falls down bike, got blood blood, Rubeha (which is 1 of the teacher) wipe " exact words of what he said to me.

3)New Bicycle
We bought him a new bicycle and he likes it alot. The reason why we bought him the bicycle is because we always tell him that he should goes to school and no crying because both daddy and mummy needs to work then only we got money to buy him new toys. So in order not to bluff him we decided to reward him the bike since he always like to ride on a bike in school and also in any toy department store. He does improves alot, as in not crying anymore when we send him to the school, the tricky part is only when we wakes him up early in the morning, he can be very cranky at times not wanting to wakes up so early.

4)Flu,fever,vomitting
His appette is quite good until recently where he is down with flu and fever. He skipped class 1 day just to rest at home, luckily jerry 's off that day. He is down with mild fever, flu and coughing. Some of Jerry's friend was saying tha flu is quite common for kids during winter so it should be alright. You can see them with flu now, recover the next few days and comes back again. So they say nothing to worry about. As for his coughing....sigh..... at times is so bad that he can even vomits out the food that he had eaten earlier. Sometimes i feel that he did it on purpose because I notice when he doesn't want to eat the food he tends to throw out often by coughing. And because he likes to swallow food before chewing thus causing indigestion and leads to throwing out easily. Now we try to give him more smaller meals hopefully it helps because we are really tired with cleaning the vomitting mess.

5)Development
Physical

I am not sure how tall is he, but alot of people who has seen Sean tends to say that he is quite tall for his age. Maybe because he is kind of skinny so he looks taller as well. Weight...not much difference about 13kg consider as healthy for his age but i hope he can gain abit more weight because you can see his rib cage if you take out his shirt.

Language
Major improvement. He starts to form sentences these days even though some words still unclear but you can more or less know what is he trying to say. Not only me, even the teacher can understand so i think is really good. He likes to sing when we play his songs, not the whole song of course. Recognizing most colors and counting numbers. Even the teacher is the school also praise him.

Character
Consider quite alright, not very naughty and yet not very obedient. He has got his own character. When he doesn't want something is quite difficult to force/coax him into wanting the thing. When he wants something, he is very determine and he will make sure he gets it most of the time by bugging us the whole day. Very impatient boy, can not wait. Very playful and "tham jiak" For the sake of eating "rubbish" (tidbits) you can ask him to do whatever you want him to do. Likes to eat noodles, biscuits and lots of rubbish(chocolates, sweets, potato chips). Favorite is still biscuits, don't know why. At his age now he tends to be abit selfish and doesn't like to share his toys. Still super fanatic about cars, like basically everything that do with cars.

I think i have cover most of him. Will try to keep a constant update in future.

Yummy for my Tummy

After so much of hard saving, we decided to pampered ourselves. We went for a sumptous dinner at a restaurant in Crown call "The Mesh" They serve seafood buffet which cost $47 per head and free for toddler. Toddler of course free lah since they are not eating much.

Anyway back to the restaurant. It has got good atsmosphere with live band playing nice song. The food to mummy is only so so because they serve mainly seafood in western style. Eg cold prawns , cold crabs which mummy prefer it to be cook in chinese style eg steam prawn in wine, chilli crab etc....

But even so she still enjoy herself,as for daddy needless to say he enjoys the most because they serve his favaurite food. Oysters. According to him, he ate about 30 pcs of raw oysters.

Me...of course can not loose out. I first started with eating abit of pasta, then fries , then a lots of dessert. Ice-creams....Caramel Custard.....Cakes...... And because there is a live band, alot of the people started to dance after finishing their meals.

Me all getting ready for "gai gai". Pic taken outside our house.
All of us enjoying the yummy food.
Mummy caught red handed!!!Still say want to go on diet.
