Hectic October!!!!

Oct wasn't a very good month for Sean. He is down with high fever, with temperature going up and down from 37-40 degree for about 1 week plus. It wasn't a easy week for us either as when he is sick, he tends to be more cranky and demanding. Initially the doctor say it was due to his molar, 4 growing out together. However later part, his whole body started to develop patches of red rashes then only we realise he was having measiles. During that period, of course his food intakes drops, water intakes drop which is my main concern and fever up and down all the time. I was quiet worry because he simply refuse water even though his whole body is already very hot. So finally we got no choice but to buy him Yakult, which is his favorite drink, luckily he drinks it, at least there will be some liquid intake for him other then his milk.

I of course didn't get to sleep well, because I was busy checking his temperature the whole night, making sure he is not too hot nor too cold. After the fever, his cough comes back again, with him coughing very badly around 4-6am in the morning. Everyday without fail, I was quite curious as in how come he only cough during this timing. I seldom hear him coughing during the day or nite but just particularly this timing. Weird right??!!!It normally stops after he vomit out a portion of his milk intake before his series of coughing. So I really dont know what to do with his cough, in fact it has been like this for 4-5 months.

Even after we bring him to see different doc, it just simply never recover. K.K says it will stop eventually which until now it didn't. We went for chest x-ray which the Doc say is perfectly healthy. Then now they say it might be due to his sensitive nose, which causes the phlegm to stuck between his throat thus causing the cough. But after appplying the nose drop, apparently he is still coughing. My mum suggested that we bring him to Eu Yang Sen, for chinise medication which I agree since so far no progress from western Doc.

Hope that he will quickly recover from all this stupid virus.

Apart from the negative issue above, we also did have some fun with him during the month. Me and Jerry try our very best to spend as much as possible the quality time with him. We tried to do fun activities like cycling, swimming and learning together. Recently Jerry has been teaching Sean on the flash card that we bought very long ago. He can't read the words definetely, but when we ask him to point the correct thing out he did it. (not sure is coincident or he really understand). He likes to play with different type of transport toy, especially cars. We got him lots of cars, then bus, aeroplane, motor cycle and train. Everyday without fail he will bring his car to you and ask you to play with him. At times we will make use of the colors of the car to teach him colors.

He will turn 18mths old by end of this month, we are planning to send him to child care center. We have intention to send the maid back since we don't find her really suitable for us, so Jerry was thinking might as well send her back and send Sean to childcare. Cost involved is definetely higher, and the worst part is we have to do all the house cleaning on our own, apart from our busy working schedule during the weekdays. But so far nothing is concrete yet.

I think he call Mummy

Have not been posting lately, as I am really very tight up with work. However, yesterday is a special day that i really hope to pen down so no matter how busy, i will at least pen a few sentence on this blog.

Yestderday, 29/10/06 time7.30pm, yes this is the date and time, that my son first call me Mummy. Yes I did not hear wrongly is mummy, because he repeated mummy a few times. And my hubby heard that too!!!!

I am so happy, instead of me giving him a present for his 17th months old birthday, he actually gave me a present instead. A very big present. But, i just wonder a little...If he really understand what he is saying yesterday. Because after he call mummy a few times, he actually laughing all the way.So to me was like huh?? what so funny about mummy, or he thought mummy is something that can be eaten, mum mum.....since we were all having dinner when he said that yesterday......

Haha, Ok never mind i still choose to think he is calling me. Hope that i can hear it again soon.

Hip hip hurray!!

I have a date with my play group friends at Sengkang C.C. . This playgroup was organize by a group of mummies staying at Sengkang. This is our first activity and there will be more to come.

Our first activity is call "Messy Play" ,we get to draw and paint whatever we want with crayons, brush paint and sponging with shapes. See we even have our own personalized apron with my name on it.






See these are my frens. We start our activity by singing the "If you happy and you know it clap your hands". Then we do a short intro about ourselves.

My Day

Hmm..Kids,... Let me teach you on how to stay healthy. First you must start your day with a healthy breakfast just like me.

Potatoe is good for you. It gives you carbo so that you will have enough energy for your daily mischief

Then hor..... let your Daddy drinks only water.


So that you can finish up his burger as well.Once you are done, you should be fully charge with all the required energy


The mischief will then begins......




Bring down all the toys, from ball to helmet, cars and many others. Oh ya helmets we have got so many colors that whichever you like. Just take whatever capture your attention, whatever that arouse your curiousity. If you are bored with it, you can always go to another section and start your havoc again!!!!! Kids..trust me you will enjoy doing the same thing as me alot.

Occasionally your parents will come and catch whole of you, or try to stop you. This is normal. But dont worry, this wont last for too long as they will not have so much strength because they only drink water earlier on. Ha Ha well planned right??? The worst scenario is, they will go home, not to worry, we have plan B.

This photo was taken on 10/09/06, i think fully recover from my gastric bug only still coughing. Did you see my double chin? I told my mummy not to worried so long as I am well and healthy I can eat a COW. So you need not worry about me being skinny.

Yoz...yo... I am back!!!!with more mischieveous!!!

Hello all,just want to let you know I am back from my battle with the gastronomic bugs. I SURVIVE!!!!!!

Thanks for all your concern and care throughout the period when I am sick. I luv all of you!!!

Sean is Sick!!!

Sean is down with gastric flu since last monday (28/08/06). He keeps on vomitting almost after each milk intake and got worst on Wednesday night, so we brought him to K.K Hospital. He was admitted for observation by the Doctor. The Doctor refrained him from any milk related (dairy product) intake.

At first he was alright, still running around in the ward. Later I think he got hungry, really hungry since he hasnt been eating well the whole day so he started to cry for his milk. But we are only allowed to feed him 15ml of glucose every 15 mins because the Doctor doesn't allowed him to have any food especially dairy products, worried that it may upset the stomach again which may lead to another series of diarhea and vomitting.

I find him very pitiful, as you can really tell that he was so hungry that he treasure his 15ml of glucose. So later part i went to consult a junior doctor on duty. He did mentioned that after the completion of the glucose which was like 2 hours later, we are allowed to probably feed him with Ribena or Barley water first. But i think was too hungry and exhausted to wait for another 2 hr so he cried until he fall asleep.

The next morning, after the Doctor came to inspect him. We were told that he should be alright, while his vomitting and diarhea will gradually stop probably not immediately but after a while. We can really tell that he is back to his usual self again. So mischievioues playing with the nurses again.

He was discharged on 31/08/06 evening. Now occassionally he is still vomitting a little and his poos is still like watery. We tried changing his milk to soya milk yesterday, apparently my mum say it got better, so now we are still monitoring, hoping that he can recover fast.

He has loss quite abit of weight which I am quite upset. Originally he is already not a chubby boy, now he even loss more weight. SIgh........

Bubbles Bubbles......

I like to play with bubbles, so since is Daddy and Mummy's off day so they brought me to the park near our house to play with bubbles. When Daddy blow the bubbles out, i will be like a busy bee chasing after them. Besides enjoying chasing after bubbles, i also like to chase after the dogs when the owner bring them out for a walk, the stray cats which are doing nothing, the birds which flew across the sky above me,and some kids which are playing balls at the basket ball court etc... etc... Conclusion....basically i enjoy chasing after everything!!!!
