Sean's surgery

Sean had his surgery date on 23/4/09.It was a scary morning for both myself and Jerry but not Sean yet as he wasn't really aware what was going on other than we telling him that the doctor is going to remove some worms from throat, so that he can have more ice creams and chocolates when he recovers. Of course he willingly follow suit.

After registration and consultation, we waited for quite a while before the doctor gave him a General Anaesthetic which will make him sleep. He was still very co-operative when we told him to breath from the mask, as we tried to relates it to his Buzz LightYear mask, if you watch Toy story. And after a while he driffed off. My tears roll down automatically when i see him dozing off innocently as I just felt like I have misused his trust for me.

Half hour later the Surgeon came to inform us that everything was alright, the surgery was successful and told us to wait for the nurse to call us to receive Sean.We were very anxious to see him ,every seconds seems forever, at that moment we just felt that we have to see him immediately.

Shortly we were led to a room where all the kids were place after their surgery. Before i even reach there I heard Sean's crying. I think he is in trauma, feeling unsure and unsecured not knowing what is happening to him. As he cried and screamed, blood just kept oozing out from his nose, as when he screamed he tends to aggitate the wound thus leads to blood flowing out. I quickly ran to calm him down,I
could feel his pain, my heartache, my tears just rolled down uncontrollably. The nurse had to give him another shot of anaesthetic.

He was half awake and half driffting off to sleep again. I curddled him, and gave him all the assurance that we will be by his side and that he will be safe.Slowly he went back to sleep. Then they arranged the ward for him and transfer us to the room.

I am glad is over, and i would like to thanks everybody for showing their care and concerns to Sean througout the whole period.

This is Sean innocently not knowing what's going on ahead of him (before surgery)

My mini birthday

I had a mini birthday celebration at home.As you grow older your own birthday is no longer really that important.Everything is about my kids.
To be honest I tend to forget or maybe just that my brain choose not to even remember my age. Thus these days when people ask me about my age I have to literally start taking out the calculator which i always have it in my bag and start doing the subtraction from my year of birth.I am not exegerating, trust me.....

I was working this year on my birthday, otherwise I would usually have a day off in the past.Jerry bought me a cheese cake and i just cut it with my 2kids after dinner at home. Part of the reason why we didnt do much is also because we had agreed that we had ate out during Valentine's day and just save the $$ for our new house which is coming.

But anyway I am still happy as I have my family with me.

We probably will be looking at getting the house in early April. Then we still need to get Contractor to build our driveway, and house flooring, the fencing and the landscaping plus decking for our alfreso area and the backyard. Gosh!!looks like we still have so much to do. I am estimating all these will take about 1 month, so maybe we can only move in in May.

Hot!! Hot!!

Hot..Hot...was the topic for this post, yes it is burning at 46' degree outside today. And it's going to be the same for the next few days. So can you imagine we are literally grilling in a very big oven. BBQ us...may taste nice though.

I got hooked to cold gassy drink especially icy cold coke, thanks to the weather, Coca cola has just got themself another customer.I have to have it everyday, so there goes my diet.

The bush fire are still burning in a few places, many people died as a result of that, my heart just sank when i heard the news especially those who lost their kids,I always have this special feeling for kids maybe because I am a mum myself. So i can imagine how hard these parents are going through.

Back to home, we had to have our air con switch on almost 24hrs, the aircon is located at our main living area, but you can hardly feel any cool air, eventhough it was being turn on. Not that the aircon is ineffective but it was more of the weather that is really killing. As soon as you step out of the house or maybe just nearing to the door you can feel the hot air burning at you.

Luckily both my kids are doing well despite the terrible weather. Sean benefitted from it as he was allowed to have more ice creams, and cold drinks to tackle this heat wave.

Ooops I am overweight!!!

Just had Sharlene's 3month check up. Everything is fine except we were told to watch out for the milk intake of little Missy. She is far overweight, can not even locate her 'dot' in the average baby growth chart. OMG!! It is her fault or purely inheritance??!!

Maybe we should consider cutting down her diet and putting her on a threadmill for 30mins everyday.

I 'm not FAT... I am just CHUBBY!!!

GIVE ME BACK MY MILK!!Soobs..Sobs.

Worried Mum

Sean will be having an operation somewhere in the next few months. We are waiting for the hospital to give us a date. He needs to remove his tonsils that is say to have block his air passage causing him to snore very loud or even stop breathing on and off for almost 1 min. He has been breathing with his mouth since young.

We are quite worried for him, for a kid to go through operation. No matter how major or minor is the operation, there bound to be a risk factor there. As parents how can we not worried right?According to the doctor the surgery takes 1-2hr where they going to cut it through the mouth. So i will assume it he will not be able to eat for awhile after his surgery. He is already so skinny now, by then he will be skeleton. Sigh... Sad...and Worry...
